Hello Everyone,

After this week’s events, we wanted to give you an update of where we are with Alfresco and our associated festivals.

Firstly, however, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their patience over the previous months. This has been a truly terrible time for so many, and the space to breathe that your understanding has given us has made a huge difference.

We, like many others, have received no help from the government or the recent round of Arts Council funding. The hit has been hard. Harder than we could ever have imagined. We’re not saying this for sympathy – so many of us in this industry are in the same situation – but rather to let you know the backdrop against which we’re working.

Here’s what we’re doing:

Refunds

We’re happy to announce that we are securing new funds to start processing refunds. We know that many of you are in need of urgent help and we want to make sure that the people who need it most, get it first. If you can afford to wait a little longer and let those who can’t apply first, please do.

These refunds will be available from 21/11/20.

With three festivals to organise refunds for, this will take some time. Please be aware that there is no cut-off point for ticket refunds and we guarantee that everyone who wants a full ticket price refund will get one (minus booking fees)

Just contact Skiddle and they’ll start issuing these refunds.

2021 Alfresco and beyond

Normally we’d be selling tickets for next year’s events by now. Given the current situation we’ve decided to wait as long as possible before moving forward with this.

We can, however, share what we’ll be doing. And we’re very excited about it.

We’ve taken the decision to move all our 2021 festivals to August. May doesn’t seem viable and we want you to have the safest festival experience we can give you. All our 2021 dates have been planned with Covid restrictions in place, and we will revisit and adapt to events as they unfold.

Live Forever 90s Festival August 13-15

Our superb 90s-themed festival has the one and only Stereo MCs performing live as our headliners alongside an incredible supporting line-up. We will also be hosting an 80s stage – Pleasuredome. All previous Pleasuredome tickets bought can be carried over to this event or any other.

Love Hangover Festival August 20-22

Three days of Soul, Funk, Disco, House, Hip Hop, Lovers Rock and Reggae await you. This festival was fully programmed with Norman Jay MBE, Huey Morgan, Brand New Heavies DJ Set, Noble & Heath, The Ghetto Funk All-Stars and many more. We’ve also added Craig Charles, Deptford Northern Soul Club and an amazing PA from the one and only Janet Kay

Please note that, with so many early sales for this year, tickets will be limited to this event.

Alfresco Festival August 29-Sept 1

You all know Alfresco by now. We have been blessed that many of the acts we had lined up for this year’s festival have confirmed for 2021 and we have some incredible special guests to add. The line-up for next year is incredible and we’ll reveal all in a proper launch in good time. We’re already so proud of our comeback and can’t wait to share all the news.

Here’s what you can do to help:

We’ve said it before but it bears repeating. The best way you can possibly help keep Alfresco alive is to carry any tickets over to the new event – or even swap it for a different festival of ours.

We’re aware that not everyone is in a position to do this and, believe us, we totally understand. However, if you can, it makes all the difference to us as we move forward while keeping our family-owned business afloat.

So that’s where we’re at.

Again, thank you. For your patience, your understanding and your continued support. You have helped us make it through some pretty bleak times. Now we can move forward.

See you in the trees.

Nicky, Mark and the Alfresco crew.
